How to Keep Mozilla Firefox Tabs from Disappearing When Closing the Browser
"How to keep Mozilla Firefox tabs from disappearing when closing the browser by enabling the Open previous windows and tabs feature to reopen previous."
Have you ever been browsing the internet with Mozilla Firefox and experienced something frustrating? for example, you may have several tabs open and accidentally click the close or exit button in Mozilla Firefox, causing all your important tabs to suddenly disappear, leaving you to reopen them one by one.
In this tutorial, i'll share a tip that may help prevent this from happening if you accidentally close the browser or simply forget that Mozilla Firefox is still open while browsing the internet, so, how can you do this? without further ado, let's follow the tutorial below.
Tutorial:
- First, make sure you have installed the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser.
- After that, open Mozilla Firefox.
- Now, on the Mozilla Firefox homepage, type about#home without the quotation marks into the Mozilla Firefox address bar, then press Enter on your keyboard, (if you don't know what an address bar is, when you open Mozilla Firefox, you'll see a long white box that usually displays the URL or domain name of the website you're visiting, this is called the address bar).
- Here, you'll see three setting options to choose from.
- After that, close the Mozilla Firefox settings page by closing its tab.
- Now, try opening more than two or three tabs, then click the X button in the browser, after that, you should be able to restore the two or three tabs you previously had open.
- So, what do you think? pretty easy, right?
- After changing this setting, try closing Mozilla Firefox while several tabs are open at the same time by clicking the browser's exit button, when you open Mozilla Firefox again, the tabs you previously had open should reappear.
- Once you've completed all the steps, enjoy.
Final Thoughts
Pretty easy, right? absolutely, i created this tutorial because many users may have dozens of tabs or pages open in Mozilla Firefox, but they might accidentally click the X button in the browser.
Normally, before enabling this setting, all open tabs in the browser will disappear or close immediately, when you open Firefox again, the pages you previously visited may be gone and cannot be restored.
By enabling this setting, Firefox can automatically reopen the windows and tabs you previously had open, so you don't have to worry about accidentally closing the browser while you still have many important tabs open.
